Is Tug right for my dog?
Tug is for dogs who like to chase and then pull, with you holding the rope. At 75 mm it's just over tennis ball size. If your dog chews through every rope toy or shreds balls in minutes, it isn't the right toy, and we'd rather tell you now. If a tennis ball looks small in your dog's mouth, Disco is our largest ball. Play together, then put Tug on the shelf when the game is over.

Your dog brings it back and drops it right at your feet.
They want a game, and some evenings your arm or your back would rather sit this one out. That's where Tug comes in.
They want someone to pull against
A plain ball doesn't pull back. With Tug, you hold the rope and your dog gets the tug they were asking for.
More energy than you can keep up with
Plenty of owners tell us their dog would keep playing and they simply can't keep up. The rolling takes a few of the laps for you.
Not sure about toys that move
Some dogs are wary at first. Slow mode, the purple light, gives a gentle start, and you stay right there with the rope.
Two dogs and one toy
Someone always ends up waiting their turn. Plenty of homes with two dogs pick up one each.
Tug isn't here to replace you. It gets the chase started, and the best part of the game is still you on the other end of the rope.
It starts the chase, and you finish the game together.
Tug rolls to get your dog moving, and then the rope brings you into the game.
Switch it on and pick a mode.
It barks hello, then starts to roll in fast, slow or interactive mode.
It rolls and wiggles for the chase.
Tug rolls and wiggles across the floor, so your dog has something to run after.
Pick up the rope and play tug together.
When your dog brings it back, grab the rope and it becomes a game for the two of you.
Three ways to roll
Fast mode for a high energy dog, slow mode for a gentle start, and interactive mode that reacts when your dog touches it.
- Fast (blue), slow (purple), interactive (yellow)
- Best on hard floors and thin carpet
The best part is you
Pick up the rope and the rolling toy becomes a game for two. The braided cotton rope is made to be gripped, tugged and carried.
- Braided cotton rope, already attached
- Unties to wash or replace
A hard core inside a softer shell
A hard PC core keeps the battery sealed away, with TPU on the outside. The rope is for gripping and tugging with you, and the ball is built for chasing, not chewing.
- PC and TPU shell
- CE, FCC and RoHS certified
A tennis ball can't play tug.

Who Tug is for, and who it isn't.
We'd rather you buy the right toy than the wrong one.
A great fit for
- Dogs who chase and then want to pullIt rolls for the chase, and the braided cotton rope is there for the tug.
- Owners who like to play from a chairYou can play tug sitting down, and you're still the one holding the rope.
- Homes with hard floors or thin carpetAll three modes work there. On thick carpet, use fast or interactive.
- A gift for a dog who loves a gameThere's no app and nothing to set up, so it's ready to play once it's charged.
Not the right toy for
- Determined chewersA dog who chews through ropes will get through this one. A solid rubber chew toy will serve them better.
- Unsupervised playIt has a battery inside and a rope attached, so it's for play together, then back on the shelf.
- Dogs who whip toys around hardIf your dog swings toys, keep hold of the rope yourself and play in a clear spot.
- Outdoor playTug is made for indoor floors, so grass and wet ground aren't its place.
A gift for two players.
For the dog who loves a chase and the person who still likes a good game of tug.

What people ask before they order.
We read every comment under our videos, and these are the questions that come up most, with plain answers.
Will my dog tear it apart?
If your dog shreds every ball or chews through every rope in a day, Tug isn't the right toy, and we'd rather tell you now. The rope is for gripping and tugging with you on the other end, and the ball is built for chasing, not chewing. Play together and put it back on the shelf when the game is over. For a determined chewer, a solid rubber chew toy is the better buy.
Can my dog chew on the rope?
The rope is made to be gripped, tugged and carried during a game with you. It isn't a chew rope to work on alone. If your dog starts gnawing at the rope or the ball, end the game and put Tug away.
Is a battery safe in a dog toy?
A hard PC core keeps the 300 mAh battery sealed away, with TPU on the outside. Like any toy with a battery, Tug is for supervised play only, never for alone time. If the shell is damaged, take it away and email us.
How long does a charge last?
About one hour of rolling per charge, and about two hours to full over USB-C. When nobody plays with it for five minutes, it puts itself to sleep to save power.
Will the rope swing into my shins?
Tug is at its best when you hold the rope and your dog pulls. The rope is about 18 cm from the ball to the far knot, short enough to keep in your hand. If your dog likes to whip toys around, keep hold of the rope and play in a clear spot.
What if my dog is scared of it?
Some dogs are unsure of anything that moves, and Tug barks when you switch it on. Let your dog sniff it switched off first, then start on slow mode, the purple light, with the rope in your hand. Plenty of wary dogs come around within a few evenings. Still no interest within 30 days of delivery? Email us and the Happy Guarantee has you covered.
Does it work on carpet?
Hard floors and thin carpet take all three modes. On thick carpet, slow mode struggles, so use fast or interactive. Tug is made for indoor floors.
Is it the right size for my dog?
75 mm, or 2.95 inches, and about 203 g, just over tennis ball size. Check it against your dog's mouth. If a tennis ball looks small on your dog, Disco at 80 mm is our largest ball.
What happens when the rope wears out?
Ropes live a hard life, so ours unties. Slip it off the loop, wash it or swap in a similar cotton rope, and tie it back on.
How do I clean it?
Untie the rope and put it in the wash. Twist the shell off to rinse it, and let it dry completely before the core goes back in. The core itself stays dry.
Why not a $5 ball online?
We've seen those too. Here's what you get with Tug:

- Three play modes
- Braided cotton rope, already attached and replaceable

Is Borkly a real store?
Yes. We go looking for toys that keep dogs moving and only carry the ones that earn a spot. Tug is sold online here at borkly.store rather than in big box stores. Every order is tracked and covered by our 30-day Happy Guarantee, and support@borkly.store is answered by people, usually within 24 hours. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo and we'll send a replacement.
What happens after you click Add to cart.
No surprises. Here's exactly how the first week goes.
You get a tracking link
As soon as your order leaves, so you can follow it all the way to your door. Orders over $50 ship free.
Charge it first
About two hours over the USB-C cable in the box. No app and nothing to pair.
Keep the first game short
It barks when you switch it on, so let your dog hear that first. Then start on slow mode with the rope in your hand.
Take 30 days to decide
If Tug isn't a hit, email us within 30 days of delivery and a real person will take it from there.
Questions before you order? Email support@borkly.store and a real person replies, usually within 24 hours.
The best toys leave room for you.
Tug made the cut because it does two jobs: a rolling ball to get the chase started, and a rope that brings you into the game. Try it for 30 days, and if it isn't a hit, a real person is one email away.
